What is Capiche FM? 🎙
It's a radio show, online. A group call anyone can dial in.
Live-streamed audio, off-the-cuff musings, broadcasts about your favorite things.
That's Capiche FM.
Whenever inspiration strikes, you can broadcast whatever's on your mind to anyone who's listening.
Share the show with your fans and friends, and they can call in or listen live online and chat with other listeners. You can even invite listeners on air, starting a group call with a click.
And when you hang up the phone, Capiche will have a recording of your call ready to publish so fans can listen later or subscribe in their favorite podcast player.
It's the easiest way to stream audio, to recapture the magic of the radio from your phone.
How does Capiche FM work?
Phone calls, broadcast live online.
You start a broadcast, Capiche calls your phone, and you go live. Then everything you say gets live-streamed to anyone who’s dialed into your show.
Fans and friends (and foes, if you want) can call a Capiche FM show’s number to listen on a phone call (yup: every show has its own phone number), or just open a new tab and stream the show online from the show's page. Hosts can invite anyone on air to chat live, too.
And when it’s all done, the broadcast recording gets published online and added to a podcast feed so you can listen later if you couldn’t make the live show.
Once you’ve called in or subscribed to a show, you’ll get an SMS whenever the show’s on air, so you can tune in live next time.
It’s a radio show + livestreamed audio + instant podcasts + realtime updates from your favorite broadcasters, all in one.

Want to broadcast with Capiche FM? Here’s how to get started.
Broadcasting live from Capiche, this is...
How to start a new Capiche FM show.
It starts like this.
You sign up for Capiche FM, enter your phone number, and get a new show. Click through the intro, and Capiche will call your phone. Answer it.
Then you’ll need to invite a friend or three to join in and help you test the show. Copy your show’s phone number or link, and ask them to call in. Once they’re on, you can chat on the world’s simplest group call. That’s Capiche—only the next time you broadcast, you can get as many people as you want to listen live.
You’ll need to tweak a few settings. Add a name to your show, pick a permalink for your show’s page, and add details about what you plan to broadcast.
Then you’re done. The next time you’re ready to broadcast live, your Capiche FM show is your personal radio station ready to broadcast anytime.

How to broadcast live on Capiche FM.
Open your Capiche FM dashboard and click Start broadcasting. Your phone rings. Answer it. You can then copy your show’s number or link and share it with friends, get them to dial in before you start broadcasting, and then bring them on air if you want to broadcast together. You can also customize an SMS message to send your show’s followers to invite them to listen.
Then click Go live, and anything you say after that will be live-streamed to everyone listening. Folks can call into your show, or listen on the show’s Capiche FM page. You can click Bring on air beside any listener's name to invite anyone listening to talk live on your show, too (Capiche will ask them then call their phone, if they’re listening online, so they can talk live on the show).
There's also live chat, so listeners can send in questions or add their thoughts to the conversation. Anyone who has your show's page open can see the live chat feed and send in a message. You can view the chat stream in your dashboard as you're broadcasting, reply to listeners, or block anyone and remove their messages if needed.
Once the show's over, just hang up to finish broadcasting, or click the End broadcast button in the dashboard. That’s it—though it's worth taking a few minutes to tidy things up if you have time. You can add a title and details about what you talked about (with Markdown formatting if you want to link to show guests and references). You can also add a custom banner for this broadcast, pick whether this call was only for paid subscribers or for everyone (more on that later), and pick whether to list this broadcast on your show page or not.
Then relax ... until inspiration strikes again, when it’s time to hit broadcast, pick up the phone, and start streaming live again. Or check out a quick 3 minute Capiche walkthrough video to see how to go live.
Broadcasting live with our co-host...
How to add collaborators to your Capiche FM show.
It’s dangerous to go alone—or lonely, at least. Might as well take someone else with you.
Your Capiche FM show is even better with friends. You can invite colleagues and co-hosts to join you and run the show together.
Open your show’s settings and click the *Invite Co-hosts* tab on the left. There, enter your friend’s phone number to invite them to help host your show. They can then start a live broadcast if you’re not free, or can call in and be on air automatically whenever you’re broadcasting. And when you're broadcasting, they can also view the Green Room to bring people on air or chat live with listeners so you can focus on the conversation.
Coming up at the top of the hour...
How to schedule broadcasts ahead of time.
Spur-of-the-moment, off-the-cuff broadcasts are great. Sometimes they’re where you’ll come up with your best stuff.
But other times, especially when you’ve got other people coming on your show, it’s better to plan ahead. That’s where scheduled broadcasts come in handy.
When you know you’ll be talking about something with someone at a certain time, open your Capiche FM dashboard and click Schedule a broadcast. Add what you’ll talk about and when you’ll talk about it. Then you can add guests to that broadcast ahead of time—enter their phone number, and they’ll get notified to sign up before the call. You can also let your followers know about the upcoming broadcast—or wait until closer to time, your call.
Your Capiche FM show page will now show the upcoming call—and you can pack your schedule with as many scheduled broadcasts as you want, and promote them ahead of time to draw a crowd.
Then, when it’s time for your scheduled broadcast, open Capiche and your scheduled broadcast will show up instead of the plain Broadcast button. This time, when you go live, your broadcast details will already be ready so you can save this broadcast without changing anything.
Your call's being recorded.
How to turn your Capiche FM show into a Podcast.
Live shows and concerts are always the most fun, but sometimes it’s nice to go back and listen to concert recordings, and sometimes you can’t make a live call and would rather be able to catch up later.
Capiche FM is perfect for both. It’s built around live calls, but everything’s recorded, too.
When you hang up and finish broadcasting, Capiche always shows a Publish this broadcast option that’s checked by default. Uncheck it if you don’t want this broadcasting saved—but otherwise, leave it checked. Capiche will then put this broadcast recording on your show’s page, and add it to your show’s podcast feed.
Then, anyone who visits your show can check out your most recent shows before subscribing. Your fans can also add your show to their favorite podcast app to catch up on broadcasts anytime.
You can also add your Capiche FM show to podcast directories to help new listeners discover your show. Open your show settings and first set a category for your show, if you haven't already. Then copy your show's RSS feed, and you can submit it to Apple Podcast Connect, Google Podcast Manager, Spotify for Podcasters, and more.
This show is brought to you by our fans.
How to add payments to your Capiche FM show.
You could stream for the love of it—and you could turn what you love into your job if you want.
Capiche FM shows are free by default, but if you'd like, you can also add subscriptions so your fans can support your show. You'll first need a Stripe account to accept payments, and then will need to add it to your Capiche FM show. To do that, open your show settings, and near the bottom of the page you'll find a Connect with Stripe button.
Once you've connected Stripe, you can select how much you want to charge for your show, with a monthly rate and perhaps a discounted yearly rate if you want.
Then, whenever you broadcast, in the Green Room before you go live you can select to make a broadcast only available to your paid fans. Or, once the broadcast is finished, you can choose to share the recording only with paid fans. It's a simple way to turn your Capiche show into your next side gig.
Do note that your show's main podcast feed will only include free broadcasts. Each paid subscriber will get a unique podcast feed they can add to podcast players themselves, while free subscribers from Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more will only be able to listen to your free broadcasts.
